with suspension, loss of licensure and numerous other issues surrounding clients served. Understand the law,
proper procedure, policy and professional judgment in delivering services. This training will review standards
and focus on discussion using applied case studies.

Managing Anger

Enjoy this unique approach to understanding and expressing anger. Very few of us escape the opportunity to
blow our top, stew in our juices, clam up and pout.From time to time. Why we automatically choose this
behavior as well as the real elements of anger will be the very reason you will want to attend this workshop.
We will look at easy to learn tools to implement in controlling this poorly expressed emotion and ways to help
others around you totally change their perspective on dealing with anger.

guidelines as well as other forms of reimbursements. To falsify the provider credentials, time spent or
provide services unnecessarily is fraudulent.Become informed on ethical concerns in the delivery of services
and listen to case scenarios of issues related to best practices in cases presented. Matt Knight and Ruth
Allison Dover will enlighten you in this new look at ethical conduct, present food for thought and answer questions that can be your ethical guide.

Parents Role as First Responders: Mental Health Professional Role of Empowering Parent's

A parent’s role in the children’s emotional struggles and their developmental delays cannot be overemphasized.
Lack of reliable information and overcoming the psychological denial can delay seeking help for years when time
is of the essence. Mental health professionals play a major role in understanding symptoms in the context of
family dynamics, developmental stage and psychiatric pathology- their key role is to empower parents.This
workshop will be divided into 3 parts:
1)Understanding our own and client frustrations, motivations and fears to foster a therapeutic bond, 2) What
are the early warning signs of major psychiatric disorders in children ( Autism, Bipolar, ADHD and Anxiety)?
3)What are the strengths and limitations of treatments available in treating these disorders?
