Why we automatically choose this behavior as well as the real elements of anger will be the very reason you will want to attend this workshop. Parents Role as First Responders: Mental Health Professional Role of Empowering Parent's
May 15th, Thursday 9-3:30

A parent’s role in the children’s emotional struggles and their developmental delays cannot be overemphasized. Lack of reliable information and overcoming the psychological denial can delay seeking help for years when time is of the essence. Mental health professionals play a major role in understanding symptoms in the context of family dynamics, developmental stage and psychiatric pathology- their key role is to empower parents. This workshop will be divided into 3 parts: 1)Understanding our own and client frustrations, motivations and fears to foster a therapeutic bond, 2) What are the early warning signs of major psychiatric disorders in children ( Autism, Bipolar, ADHD and Anxiety)? 3)What are the strengths and limitations of treatments available in treating these disorders?
