Mid-South Health Systems strives to assist their customers in securing a variety of needed life resources.
- The Resources/Referral Directory is offered by the United Way. This
publication contains an exhaustive listing of social and health related
services available in the Northeast Arkansas area. Their web site
is currently under Construction, but you can contact them by phone,
(870) 802-HELP.
- Mental
Health Council of Arkansas is a state organization of community mental
health centers and their affiliates who work together to provide quality
mental health care to Arkansas residents. Center locations and
services are listed on their web site (www.mhca.org)
- Mid-South Health
Systems Speakers Bureau offers half hour presentations on a
variety of mental health issues at no charge for business and civic
groups.
- Mid-South Health Systems People Skills Training
provides informative and entertaining educational services for business,
industry, schools, and other organizations in Northeast Arkansas.
One hour programs to day long seminars are available by contract on many
topics (see our Education
web page).
- Chambers of Commerce: Chambers are great
sources for information concerning community health services as well as
information on education, business, and industry. You can find
chambers in most of the larger towns in Northeast Arkansas and most of
them have web sites. For example Jonesboro's address is
www.jonesborochamber.org.
- Medical Facilities: At least one hospital
is located in each Northeast Arkansas country. Directory
assistance can provide their numbers.
- Arkansas State Department of Human Services:
Branch DHS offices are located in each of the Seven counties served by
Mid-South. They provided a wide range of social services to
Northeast Arkansas families. Their client assistance number is
(800) 482-8988.
