Emergency Services


Emergency Services Goal:

To provide rapid and competent mental health crisis intervention to individuals within the 13 county catchment area served by Mid-South Health Systems.

All requests for emergency services must call the numbers presented here.

Emergency Services through Mid-South Health Systems is offered 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. This services offers assessment/evaluation for crisis stabilization when there is immediate threat of self harm, potential harm to others or grave disability as a result of mental instability.

The basis for the call must be primarily a mental health need versus alcohol/drugs or a medical condition.

Referrals to an impatient psychiatric hospital may be recommended, as well as other outpatient treatment programs.

Follow These Guidelines when calling Emergency Services

Be prepared to give name, date of birth and social security number along with details of the emergency situation.

Individual calling will be instructed to go to a secure location such as a clinic, jail or hospital.

Emergency services may refer to outpatient treatment programs within Mid-South Health Systems as well as programs not directly affiliated with Mid-South Health.
